This is a known issue with Yahoo msg and Vista. Yahoo does not know how to fix it.
You may try this codecs. Before you install quit Yahoo msg.

Let Yahoo know that you are also affected.

Hi... I found out from another post that downloading TrueSpeech player would solve this very problem. I tried it and it worked! Here's the link: http://www.dspg.com/technology/players/tsply95.zip
